About

A. Page Code is the personal studio of Adam Page, a software builder who has spent more than two decades shaping and delivering online platforms in real production environments.

The studio is based in the Chicago suburbs. Work is remote-friendly, and I partner with teams globally.

The studio was established in 2000. The work has stayed in the same lane even as the tooling has changed. Build the thing, make it hold up, keep it coherent as it grows. That perspective comes from long responsibility for systems where uptime, revenue, operations, and team velocity are connected.

Over time, that has included revenue-bearing ecommerce platforms, internal services used by distributed teams, and platform work where structure and presentation have to be decided together. The studio exists to bring clarity and follow-through to work like that, especially when concept, structure, and production need to move as one.

Engagements often involve new platform builds, replatforms and rebuilds, integration and orchestration between services, and internal systems that make operations possible. The goal is durable work that can be owned and operated by internal teams with confidence.

05.2 WORKING MODEL

How engagements work

Senior involvement throughout

I work solo and stay hands-on from direction through delivery, keeping concept, structure, and production connected.

WM-01 END-TO-END

Specialists only when needed

If a company doesn’t have UX support, I can bring in a UX designer on occasion.

WM-02 UX SUPPORT

Direct contracts, coordinated delivery

When specialists are involved, clients typically contract with them directly for financials, while communication stays coordinated once direction is set.

APPENDIX A ORIGIN

Where it started

A.1 I started building websites when having a site began to feel necessary, even for bands. I built the first one because my band couldn’t afford it, and then other bands started asking.

A.2 In 2005, I stepped away from building guitars to focus fully on web work.

A.3 That path included design and print work (including work for Kenny Rogers Gambler), and later building websites for films after getting noticed by people at 20th Century Fox.

A.4 As the work grew, it moved deeper into ecommerce and platform work with real operational constraints and long-term ownership requirements.
